متن کاملPrimary Malignant Lymphoma of Prostate with Silent MYD88 Mutation
We present a case of primary malignant lymphoma of the prostate in a 77-year-old Japanese man. Immunohistochemical examinations revealed the presence of a non-GCB subtype of DLBCL (CD10 (-), Bcl-6 (-), MUM1 (+)), and genetic analysis disclosed a lack of typical codon 206 or 265 missense mutation in MYD88, suggesting that the case was of type3 (non-GCB andnon-ABC), a subtype of DLBCL. Three cour...
متن کاملIntravascular Large B-cell Lymphoma: A Report of Two Cases
One of the rare variants of extranodal large B-cell lymphoma is intravascular large B-cell lymphoma (IVLBCL). Characteristics of IVLBCL include intraluminal selective proliferation of atypical lymphoid cells in small to medium-sized vessels. The etiologic of IVLBCL is unknown, but due to the growth pattern of this tumor, it is speculated that IVLBCL is caused by a defect in homing receptor of t...
متن کاملRare occurrence of IgVH gene translocations and restricted IgVH gene repertoire in ocular MALT-type lymphoma.
FISH studies on 37 ocular MALT-type lymphomas yielded chromosomal translocations affecting MAL andT1 BCL10 in 1 case each, no evidence for a break in the FOXP1 locus, and trisomy 3 in 14 out of 34 cases (41%). Three out of 8 cases analyzed used the highly mutated VH3-23 gene and showed ongoing somatic hypermutations.
متن کاملSomatic hypermutation of IGVH genes and aberrant somatic hypermutation in follicular lymphoma without BCL-2 gene rearrangement and expression.
BACKGROUND Follicular lymphoma is characterized by the t(14;18) translocation resulting in constitutive expression of BCL-2 protein; however approximately 10-15% of follicular lymphomas do not express BCL-2 protein, and a small fraction of these cases does not exhibit translocation of the BCL-2 gene either. It is highly debated whether cases of follicular lymphoma without BCL-2 gene rearrangeme...
